This page explains how to delete your Orb account and associated personal data. Orb is the mobile and web application published by Cadensys LTD.
You can delete your account yourself from inside the Orb app, or ask us to delete your data by email — including after you have uninstalled the app, on any platform, and whether or not you can sign in. Both routes are described below. Account deletion is permanent: once completed it cannot be undone, and it is not the same as deactivating, disabling, or "pausing" an account.
1. Permanently deleting your account
You can delete your account and its associated data using either of the two methods below.
1.a. From the app
If you still have Orb installed and can sign in:
- Open Orb on mobile or at app.getorb.ai.
- Go to Settings → Profile.
- Scroll to Delete account and tap or click it.
- Confirm the deletion in the dialog that appears.
You are signed out immediately and your account is closed. What happens to the data associated with it depends on whether you are the last remaining member of your workspace — see section 2 below.
1.b. By email
Use this route if you have uninstalled the app, cannot sign in, or want data deleted beyond what closing your account removes — including a request to delete specific data without deleting your whole account.
Email privacy@getorb.ai with:
- the subject line "Data deletion request";
- the email address of your Orb account; and
- optionally, if you have also used Orb with WhatsApp, the associated WhatsApp number.
2. What is deleted, and what may be retained
Orb is a shared workspace product, so an account can be attached to a workspace that other people still use. Deletion works differently in each case.
If you are the only remaining active member of your workspace, the entire workspace is deleted. This includes your login identity, your profile, the workspace's stored content, and the meeting assistant identities associated with it.
If other people remain active in your workspace, your account is closed and your access is revoked immediately: your membership is deactivated, your login identity is removed from the workspace, and your sign-in credentials are deleted unless the same email address is also used for a separate Orb workspace. Content you contributed to the shared workspace — for example messages, tasks, notes, and meeting records that other members rely on — is retained in that workspace so it remains usable by your colleagues.
To have that retained workspace content deleted, email us at privacy@getorb.ai using the link above.
